Wetsipon @ Hey Kessy

August 19 may be a milestone of sorts for J.   Today we have delivered our first batch of merchandise to a legit artisan store that hosts creations of acknowledged artists, crafters and makers.  Hey Kessy with branches in Alabang Town Center and UP Town Center is her debut store.   We am so proud because her works have been getting positive feedbacks from her little Instagram space where we initially wanted to archive her doodles that eventually became projects that are Hey Kessy worthy!

After the delivery we were in our usual mall.  Usual shops which includes a local daisho shop.  J actually wanted to go immediately and we didn't know that she had a specific plan in mind.  To read the labels and boxes and practice his newfound skill from doing Duo Lingo and attentively going thru youtube upon youtube of Hiragana or Katakana as well as doing Japanese emoji faces called kaomoji or Lenny faces.. slowly but surely she was just like when she was learning how to read English,  she is slowly reading Japanese.  Excited with the syllables she recognizes... even if you just hear syllables,  mom- this is eh,  here is eh, that is eh.  Once in a while you would hear a word sounding babble,  with words with syllables she had already learned.

We have to leave it at that since, we do not have a way to verify anyway.

But on our way home,  we had a detour to a Korean restaurant,  and she again without boasting, have been self teaching her way thru youtube, keyboard syllables (if you add Korean, Japanese and Chinese keyboard on your mobile,  there would be a feature of syllable combined character  suggestion or you can draw the character itself.  She would play around her keyboard and pick-up the characters the consonant vowel combination suggests.  With her photographic memory,  she retains these characters and practices its pronunciation with youtube dialogues.  It just works for her!  She asked the foodplace' server what is hello in Korean and then starts a conversation.  The poor waitress couldn't catch up.  Lucky one Korean lady,  either a boss or a regular caught up with Jade's gibberish and it seems that she is saying something.  "So you want to have money?" said the lady.  J answers,  she and the cook laughs.  The lady asked BB if J has a Korean friend.  "Only from youtube."  The lady was impressed and invited J to a free language class in BF Homes.
