Wetsipon @ Hey Kessy

August 19 may be a milestone of sorts for J.   Today we have delivered our first batch of merchandise to a legit artisan store that hosts creations of acknowledged artists, crafters and makers.  Hey Kessy with branches in Alabang Town Center and UP Town Center is her debut store.   We am so proud because her works have been getting positive feedbacks from her little Instagram space where we initially wanted to archive her doodles that eventually became projects that are Hey Kessy worthy! After the delivery we were in our usual mall.  Usual shops which includes a local daisho shop.  J actually wanted to go immediately and we didn't know that she had a specific plan in mind.  To read the labels and boxes and practice his newfound skill from doing Duo Lingo and attentively going thru youtube upon youtube of Hiragana or Katakana as well as doing Japanese emoji faces called kaomoji or Lenny faces.. slowly but surely she was just like when she was learning how to read English,  she i

Dino all

J's 7th year creativity is a mishmash of many characters : Pandas, Larva, Sharks, Sesame Street Monsters.. but one of the stand outs for this year is her original characters from a collection she initially called Dino All!  The Dino All characters are cutified and with anthromorphic features.  Prior to this she was into dinosaurs in the encyclopedia sense where she could highlight and draw the characteristics, differences like a true geek.  And then the magic happened. Maybe because of Barney or just the fascination of the diversity.  Here are my favorites : Playing with clay.  Hints of Dino All characteristics Barneyish Can you see personality? This orange critter will be prominent in her projects.  Her version of a triceratops! This is Meg,  if I am not mistaken. Triceratops in crayon. Triceratops as a puppet. Triceratops as clay.  Meg.  The Megalosaurus as a plush project.

Mommy Boss have not started instagram for lack of  an eventful life,  After multiply and after our adventures when she was solo,  she hasn't been doing much snapshooting until BBB's little hands started to create. BBB started late in the pencil game,  sure she was at ease with letters and reading,  but for a while she didn't take interest in holding a pencil.  It was a frustration because she couldn't be fully assessed in pre-K since she could not take written exams. Then comes drawing.. for a while,  drawing was a pure tablet activity,  in her ipad or on mom's phone.  Markers and crayons pushed her to liking tactile analog drawing hurray!  and the love affair continues on. Now mommy needs to have an archive to keep the goodies.   Here are some of Js doodles and stuff : Go to IG :@wetsipon for more!

My preschool and Pi in the province

Super duper late post : Pi in the province. Being out on vacation for my family means overload of bags since my preschool needs to wean from homeworld to outside world.  Toys, gadgets and everything familiar needs a packing so she would share the joy of travel,  just like mommy and daddy does. I planned to pack light and durable because this travel means bus rides, transfers and again long bus rides.  I am ok with bringing mobiles and tablets,  but i am not into lugging around a heavy laptop that can be crushed in transit.  I can only handle one fragile bag to put in all the delicate screens of our mobiles and tablets. Enter the raspberry pi. Having the power of a small computer (vis a  vis a netbook)  without compromising screen size.  My pack only includes a mouse, a foldable fullsized keyboard,  3 cables (power, HDMI - just because I know what to expect) a usb wifi and my usb data. Having setup office and multimedia software in linux.  I, daddy and j will have a happy
