W hen I was young, I was lucky to have access to music in different forms and styles. It was so accessible we actually took it for granted and for a time, wasted the opportunity. My mother was a piano teacher, the best basic piano teacher in our small town. She knows how to make a person play a musical instrument with information that sticks as a core memory. Not just the easy playing style that would make you copy playing a piece and when the session ends you will never play the instrument again. She is good in theory and possibly child psychology or people reading she can customize a curriculum so that you can eventually play the instrument, find your own time to go back again, and still could play and progress even after the session. Anywhere is a chance for learning. Daddy and J have this errand bonding tradition at the supermarket. Daddy will let J ride the pushcart and tours her in the produce section. They name each and every item on shelf so J can see the fruits and vegetables in its raw form. This beats just hanging posters and pointing to her pictures and objects, beats doing powerpoints of the same. I know this is still artificial but this is just the only way she will encounter the stuff in the urban setting. Great venues would be sm hypers, rustans and puregold. The bigger the better, so there would be more cart space because the sessions can take minutes to go around. Enjoy!

In primary school thru high school, it was 2 municipalities and maybe 15 baranggays apart living in philam talon 2, las pinas and studying in la huerta paranaque. Later in college was worst living in las pinas and studying in espana, manila... During the time of flyover constructions that made my commute a good 2 hours (or more more) 1 way. Office for a while was also las pinas-makati, mandaluyong-qc, qc-makati and i had some moments of home office that was actually more travelling than staying at home. Today i have my office so near that the gps circle would touch the tip of the office door when i am at home in my bedroom. About 150 steps away just because the entrace of the compound is than farther my house that the actual office is. My daughters school, ...
