My gleek birth


Mommy told me what happened the day she gave birth to me,  she woke up supposedly to go and stroll around the Mandaluyong circle,  her schedule for the days is just that,  no more work per the command of the OB-Gyn who she will visit today.. again as this will be the critical 2 weeks.  I needed to be monitored for my heartbeats,  mommy to be monitored for her BP.

Oooops,  after changing to her jog clothes,  she bled.

She woke up dad and lola l to tell them it's time.

Dad called OB,  mom called lola t, her mom.  Ready, set, go!

She was ready to go thru this alone,  good ms. amy told her that the hospital doesn't allow daddy's at the OR.

Mommy was monitoring her cramps.. not to worry she had plenty of time,  having the knowledge that tita l had time to travel from las pinas years back when my cousin n was about to be delivered.  cool..

First one hour at the hospital was just sitting around.  BP checks and preparations for the procedure.

Slow was the pace,  even when mom was transferred at the labor room,  opening was still small,  i am still tucked way up my mom's tummy.

Then suddenly slow became super fast.  Mom was supposed to be given one other anesthesia but then again i was soo ready to come out,  it took my mom about 9 major mega hurting contractions  and i was off to the delivery room.

And the huffing and the puffing happened like a blurr...

the next thing mommy remembers was the theme of glee...

tooorrroooorooo...

events of the day were flashing before mom's mind's eye..  

last week on glee..

nina saw blood
taxi to the hospital
delivery room contractions
"mommy lipat na tayo"
"just push till the baby's head comes out,  then, kami nang bahala"

then she came waking up

"is it done? girl po ba?"
"yes,  mommy!"
"can i have a drink?"

still groggy and not sure if this was still part of her "glee dream"..

again asking..
"is it done? girl po ba?"
"yes,  mommy!"
"can i have a drink?"

if it's the same person,  haha over and over the same question mommy twilighted.  she never saw her ob, her anesthesiologists, etc. etc.
the last face she remembers was from the labor room. All were just voices and glee snippets.

Mommy is just soo funny..

Meanwhile my dad was screaming at the NICU nurses because he was concerned that mommy hasn't eaten anything since 9am :)

12:30 he sees doc OB just cleaned up.  "Congratulations! "

Then came me :)

Our Music Journey So Far

W hen I was young,  I was lucky to have access to music in different forms and styles.  It was so accessible we actually took it for granted and for a time,  wasted the opportunity.   My mother was a piano teacher,  the best basic piano teacher in our small town.  She knows how to make a person play a musical instrument with information that sticks as a core memory.  Not just the easy playing style that would make you copy playing a piece and when the session ends you will never play the instrument again.  She is good in theory and possibly child psychology or people reading she can customize a curriculum so that you can eventually play the instrument,  find your own time to go back again, and still could play and progress even after the session.    However,  she was my mother and I never was into making music as a passion so I didn't like my Saturday playtime and TV time stopped by piano practice and lessons during my youth.  So that became my chance to be a virtuoso. And then I saw 2 cats

W etsipon's development happened this way,  she read at around 2, could keyboard type an actual word with corresponding emoji pre-playschool (around 3,) and then struggled for her to write on pen and paper at playschool.  We had to push her for pencil skills as we did not want her to do another playschool and be accepted in Kinder. Glad that I had a sister who is into child dev and asked us one question.  Is anybody at home writing on paper?  Being with 2 adults,  our household needed a lifestyle change,  we made an effort to forget Onenote, and Evernote and made an extra effort to write on paper.  I was a phone - tablet - laptop yielding corporate mom.  My hubby also only uses the phone, tablet, and desktop.  Things had to change.  Monkey sees monkey does.   I was lucky to have an office near a paper warehouse where they consider manila paper-sized cuts of  (beautiful)  paper as spoilage I can take home.  My ink-challenged learner started developing pencil skills,  and then starte
